Siete Leguas Reposado Tequila
Siete Leguas Reposado Tequila is a 700mL reposado bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), made from 100% Blue Weber agave in Atotonilco el Alto, Los Altos, Jalisco — NOM 1120 — and aged 8 months in American white oak barrels. Like the rest of the range, it blends spirit from the house's two distilleries — the mule-drawn tahona of Fabrica El Centenario and the roller mill of Fabrica La Vencedora — cooked in small masonry ovens and double-distilled in copper pot stills, as Siete Leguas has made tequila since 1952. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Eight Months in Oak, Cooked Agave Still in Charge
The Reposado is the Siete Leguas purist's pour: long enough in American white oak — eight months, well past the two-month legal floor — to take on straw-gold colour and soft barrel spice, short enough that the cooked highland agave stays dominant. It comes from the same two-fabrica blend the house has run since Don Ignacio Gonzalez Vargas founded it in 1952, named for Pancho Villa's horse. See the full range on the Siete Leguas vendor page, or browse our tequila collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the brand: a straw-yellow pour with golden nuances; cooked agave dominant on the nose and palate with soft barrel notes, herbals of spearmint, mint and chamomile, grapefruit and lime citrus, and light caramel and vanilla from the oak.
How to Enjoy
Neat or over a single cube as a sipping reposado, and the connoisseur's choice for a Margarita that still tastes of agave. More rested tequilas are in our spirits collection.
