Fassbind Les Vieilles Barriques Cherry
This noble, carefully distilled and matured fruit brandy is made from ripe Swiss cherries. The Rigi region is famous for its tasty cherries and the cherry brandy obtained from the fruit.
Immediately after the harvest, the fresh fruit is delivered to us and mashed immediately. After the fermentation is complete, we distil the fully ripe cherries together with their fruit stones, which produce the typical almond note and aroma for the Kirsch.
The freshly distilled Kirsch first rests in stainless steel tanks for at least two years and then ripens in oak casks for 14 to 18 months. After the maturation process, the Kirsch brandy is further refined with a homemade bonificateur to enhance the wonderful aroma and subtle sweetness, which makes this Vieux Kirsch so unique.
