Winery Notes: We turned to eternally great vineyards in carefully selected California winegrowing nirvana to find just the right fruit for our 2013 Zen of Zin. This smooth Zinfandel is bursting at the seams with intriguing vanilla and clove plus a touch of smoke. Floral and spice aromas set the stage
for lusciously concentrated fruit flavors of blackberry and raspberry that are ignited by notes of plum, coffee, and chocolate. All of these complex flavors weave together to create a rich mouthfeel and a long, silky finish. We blended in Petite Sirah and Mixed Blacks for even more complexity and a lasting sense of discovery.
Blend: 75% Zinfandel, 21% Petite Sirah, 4% Mixed Blacks
Where it’s From: 100% California
Aging: 16 months in French and American oak, 65% new
Alcohol: 13.5%
