Vineyard Notes: Pouilly Fuissé is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes. The production is small (700 hectares planted) and cover steep slopes of the
village of Fuisé, Solutré, Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré, on which the soils are a mixture of clay and chalk from the Jurassic era.
Location: Located in the southern part of Burgundy, at the North limit of Beaujolais area, Pouilly-Fuissé is the top of the Mâconnais wines, in the heart of the great whites appellations (Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Saint-Véran).
Vinification: Fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks to preserve as much as possible the fruit and freshness.
