Maestro Dobel Atelier 'Trajineras' Extra Anejo Tequila 2023
SINGLE BOTTLE PRICING. COLOR MAY VARY. IF YOU ORDER MULTIPLE, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO NOT SEND THE SAME COLOR.
The 2023 Atelier edition called "Trajineras" is a beautiful collection of five bottles that pays homage to the diverse colors and details adorning the trajineras.
Trajineras are colorful and adorned boats that are part of Mexican culture, especially in Xochimilco, Mexico City. Their origin dates to the pre- Hispanic era when people in this area used canoes to navigate between or floating islands called chinampas, where they cultivated food. Originally trajineras were built with ahuehuete wood and propelled with poles. Over time, they became larger and more elaborate, decorated with flowers and canopies. In the 20th century, they became a significant tourist attraction in Xochimilco.
Today, trajineras continue to be a symbol of Mexican culture and an expression of national pride, much like Maestro Dobel Atelier. The five different bottle designs adorning this premium Extra Añejo tequila are hand-painted and individually numbered by Mexican artisans, making each one a unique and collectable piece.
