Sotoleros Lalo and Nando Sotol (Red Label) is produced by Don Eduardo Arrieta and his apprentice Fernando Porras in Chorreras, Chihuahua. Lalo and Nando harvest wild sotol plants from the Chorreras community and cook them in an underground with mesquite wood. The cooked plants are milled by axe, fermented wooden vats, and distilled in a copper pot stills. Their sotol has notes of leather, mint, cacao, chalk, and dried pepper flakes.
