Crafted by Maestro Destilador Humberto Alvarado, a third-generation distiller from La Estancita, Jalisco, the 2025 Edición Especial of Cazcanes Nuestras Raíces is an unapologetically raw and authentic celebration of ancestral tequila-making. Bottled at still strength (47% ABV), this blanco tequila delivers the unfiltered essence of mature Blue Weber agave—free of additives, sweeteners, and shortcuts.

Region: La Estancita, Jalisco (El Valle, between Tequila & Magdalena)

Agave: 100% Mature Blue Weber Agave (estate-sourced)

Water: Natural spring (100m from distillery)

Cooking: Slow-roasted in a wood-fired 4-ton autoclave

Extraction: Axe-chopped, then shredded by a 1970s Chevy inline-6 engine

Washing: Hand-washed with spring water

Fermentation: Wild, open-air with native yeast

Distillation: Double distilled in stainless steel with copper coils, wood-fired

Additives: Zero – No sweeteners, coloring, or flavor enhancers

🥃 Tasting Notes
Aroma:
Bright and bold aromas of roasted and raw agave, green pepper skin, and fresh cut grass, layered with wet stone minerality, wild herbs, and hints of soft earth.

Palate:
Full-bodied and expressive with mouth-coating richness. Notes of cooked agave, crushed river rock, lime zest, and herbal salinity are framed by a subtle char from the wood-fired process.

Finish:
Long, dry, and mineral-driven, leaving behind a clean trace of smoke, pepper, and earth, wrapped in a naturally warming salinity.
